A portrait for every holiday on the calendar
This collection gives each public holiday its own pet portrait style. There is one for every bank holiday in England and Wales, with Good Friday and Easter Monday sharing a single Easter style, and one for each of the eleven US federal holidays. New Year's Day and Christmas Day are celebrated in both countries, so those two styles are shared. Scotland and Northern Ireland also have a few bank holidays of their own.
Each style has its own scene, palette and outfits, from a Santa hat by the fireplace to a seaside deckchair or a harvest table, and every one is created by AI from your photo, with your pet's markings and expression kept as the priority. Our holiday calendar shows the next date for each one.
Celebrations and quieter days
Most of these styles are light-hearted. A few are not: Memorial Day and Veterans Day are commemorative, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth mark civil rights and emancipation. Their styles are calm and respectful, with no jokes, no costumes that trivialise the day and no people in the artwork. The stars and poppies tribute and the golden sunrise portrait are two examples.
Popular choices
- Christmas: up to three pets by a decorated tree and glowing fire. See the Christmas fireside style or our Christmas portrait guide.
- Easter spring: painted eggs, daffodils and optional bunny ears, with more on our Easter page.
- Presidential portrait: your pet as George Washington in a powdered wig and tricorn hat, ideal for Presidents' Day.
- Thanksgiving harvest: pumpkins, pie and warm amber light, with room for three pets at the harvest table.
Planning ahead
Digital files are created after payment, so a download can be ready for the day itself. Printed products take longer, especially in December, so check our shipping and delivery timings before ordering prints. Names and messages are added by our software after the artwork is made, so they are always spelled exactly as you type them. When you have chosen a holiday, upload a photo and get started.
