Chicago Pet Portraits, Made from Your Photos
Chicago dogs take the seasons seriously: lakefront runs in July, snow zoomies in January and a slow amble along the 606 whenever the weather allows. Pawzivra turns a favorite photo of your pet into a personalized portrait, created by AI and steered by styles we have curated, from Renaissance oils to clean minimalist line work.
Want a winter wonderland, a birthday party or a field of flowers behind your pup? Optional scenes and costumes let you set the mood. Pay with PayPal, collect your high-resolution files from the emailed link, and have a framed print or canvas shipped anywhere in Chicago.
Lakefront and neighborhood spots
Montrose Dog Beach and the Lakefront Trail
Montrose Dog Beach is one of the city's designated dog-friendly beaches, with Lake Michigan stretching to the horizon. The Lakefront Trail gives you skyline views along much of its length.
Parks and trails
Lincoln Park's lagoons and lawns, Humboldt Park's lagoon and boathouse, and the 606, a former rail line turned trail running through Wicker Park and Logan Square, all make good settings. Check posted rules for leash and beach access.
Four seasons of light
Winter snow reflects plenty of light, so pets with dark coats can look underexposed; tap on the face to set focus and brightness. Summer sun is strong by midday, so aim for early mornings by the lake. Fall color in the parks makes a lovely backdrop. Our photo guide covers the details.
Styles to try
A seasonal and holiday portrait suits a dog who loves the snow, while the minimal and keepsake collection works well in a two-flat or condo with clean lines.
Gifts and memorials
A housewarming in a new condo, a holiday gift for parents in the suburbs, a puppy's first snow or a tribute to a dog who loved the lake are all good reasons to create your portrait online.

Our services in Chicago
Classic fine art portraits
Inspired by the formal portraits of the nineteenth century, these painted styles use deep, warm tones and soft studio light. A fitting choice above the mantel in a Victorian greystone or beside the bookshelves in a bungalow, where something timeless feels right.
Royal & character portraits
Royal robes, military uniforms, aristocratic poses and historic costume, all centered on your pet's real face. A boxer as a general or a tabby as a duchess makes a cheerful gift that most people remember.
Watercolor & sketch portraits
If you like art that whispers rather than shouts, look here first, from gentle watercolor and ink wash to pencil, charcoal and line art. These quieter styles suit calm bedrooms and home offices, and they show the texture of long coats, short coats and feathers nicely.
Colorful & modern portraits
From Warhol-style pop to cartoon characters and paint thrown across the canvas, this collection is all about energy. A burst of strong color is a welcome lift during a long gray winter, and it suits modern lofts in the West Loop and beyond.
Minimal & keepsake portraits
Pared-back designs, including a portrait with your pet's name, a silhouette, gallery-style art and black and white. For a pet who has died, the memorial tribute style adds dates or a dedication in the font you choose.
Scenes & group portraits
Several pets together in one picture, you and your pet side by side, or scenes such as a snowy holiday backdrop, a meadow or a birthday party. You can also write a short description of your own custom scene.
Printed, framed & canvas portraits
Pick paper, frame, canvas or poster, and our professional print partner will handle production and shipping to US or UK addresses. You approve a proof first, so the crop and any text are exactly as you want them.
Digital downloads
High-resolution files sent through a secure email link that stays valid for a set period. Share them with relatives, print them yourself or keep them safe, and request an extra version if you want a different interpretation.
Questions from Chicago
Can I use a photo of my dog in the snow?
Yes, snow photos can look wonderful. Make sure your dog's face is sharp and not too dark, as bright snow can fool your phone's exposure. Tap on the face before shooting, and avoid photos where snow covers the eyes or muzzle.
Do you ship to the suburbs as well?
Yes. Evanston, Oak Park, Naperville and the rest of Chicagoland are covered, because our print partner ships anywhere in the US. Expect tracking by email when the partner has it. Delivery speed varies, particularly around the holidays, so no dates are promised.
What size print should I choose?
Measure the wall first, then compare it with the options on our prints page. A tall, narrow space suits portrait orientation and a single pet, while a sofa wall usually takes a landscape group or scene. The proof confirms the crop.
What about a house rabbit?
Yes, and bunnies make charming subjects. Lie on the floor so the camera is level with their face, and use soft daylight from a window. A sprig of parsley or a favorite treat often buys you a few seconds of stillness.
How long is my download link valid?
Your secure download link stays active for 30 days, so save the files somewhere safe once they arrive. If it expires, you can find your order using your email address and order number, or write to hello@pawzivra.com.
