Personalised Pet Art for Newcastle upon Tyne
Ask anyone on Tyneside about their dog and you will soon hear about a favourite walk, whether it is Jesmond Dene, the Town Moor or the long stretch of sand at Tynemouth. Pawzivra turns a photo of your pet into personalised artwork, created by AI and shaped by a range of styles we have selected, from gilded royal portraits to clean modern line art.
Not quite right first time? Each order includes a set number of extra versions, so you can ask for another take. Ordering happens online with PayPal, the finished files come by email, and prints can be posted to any Newcastle address.
Dene, moor and quayside
Jesmond Dene and the parks
Jesmond Dene's wooded valley, waterfall and old mill make an atmospheric backdrop, especially in autumn. Exhibition Park and Leazes Park offer lakes and open lawns closer to the centre.
The Town Moor
This huge open space has big skies and, for part of the year, grazing cattle, so keep dogs on a lead near them.
The quayside and the coast
The bridges over the Tyne make a striking city background. Further out, Tynemouth Longsands and the beaches towards Whitley Bay are popular with dogs, though some sections have seasonal restrictions.
North Sea light
Coastal light here can be crisp and clear, and a sea fret can roll in without warning. Low winter sun gives lovely warm side light if you face your pet slightly towards it. On dull days, use the brightness of an open doorway. Our photo tips page explains focus and framing.
Choosing a style
Working breeds and lurchers with lean faces look sharp in monochrome ink wash, while cheeky characters may prefer the royal and character range.
Reasons to order
A house move, a first Christmas with a new kitten, or saying goodbye to a dog who walked the Dene every morning for years. When you are ready, build your pet's portrait and check the preview first.
Getting prints to Tyneside
Your approval of the proof starts the printing. Our partner then dispatches the finished piece by post or courier, with tracking emailed if it becomes available. Compare sizes on the prints and canvases page.
Our services in Newcastle upon Tyne
Classic fine art portraits
Pick portrait or landscape orientation, then choose between realistic painted, oil, Renaissance or classical studio looks. Each gives your pet the presence of an old portrait, and a tall frame suits a Jesmond terrace hallway nicely.
Royal & character portraits
Choose a crown, a general's braid, Edwardian lace or a historic costume as your optional extra, and the AI builds the outfit around your pet's face. It works for greyhounds and guinea pigs alike, and it always raises a smile.
Watercolour & sketch portraits
Within this collection you can go soft with pastel watercolour, loose with a colour splash, or crisp with ink, pencil, charcoal or line art. Each option brings out a different side of a smooth whippet or a scruffy terrier.
Colourful & modern portraits
Loud, cheerful and modern, from comic-book cartoon and flat poster graphics to a riot of splashed paint. Add your dog's nickname in a bold font, and the result can capture a big personality better than anything traditional.
Minimal & keepsake portraits
Choose a handwritten-style name, a neutral silhouette, black and white or gallery-style art. The memorial option lets you add dates or a few words of dedication, and you see the lettering in the preview before you pay.
Scenes & group portraits
Decide who is in the picture and where they are: all your pets together, you beside your dog, or a meadow, party, winter scene or outdoor adventure. A clear photo of each subject gives the most natural result.
Printed, framed & canvas portraits
Choose an art print, framed print, canvas or poster, approve a proof of the crop and wording, and our professional print partner prints it and sends it to your door anywhere in the UK or US.
Digital downloads
Prefer to print it yourself? Choose digital only and download the high-resolution files from a secure, expiring link. If you would like to see another interpretation of the same photo, ask for one of your included extra versions.
Questions from Newcastle upon Tyne
Do you post prints to Gateshead and the coast?
Yes. Gateshead, North Shields, Whitley Bay and anywhere else in the North East can receive prints, since our print partner delivers across the UK. We pass on tracking when it is available. Delivery times vary, so we do not promise particular days.
Is there anywhere in Newcastle to collect an order?
There is no collection point, because Pawzivra has no shop or studio anywhere. Digital files are downloaded from your emailed link, and anything printed goes straight to the address you enter at checkout, so there is no need to travel.
My dog won't sit still at the beach. Any tips?
Let them burn off energy first, then photograph them resting. Shoot at their eye level with the sun behind you or to one side, and take a burst of shots. One sharp frame with a clear face is all you need.
Can I add my pet's name in Geordie spelling?
Yes. Text is added by our software after the image is made, so any name, nickname or short dedication appears exactly as you type it. Choose a font, check the live preview, and correct anything before you pay.
How many photos should I upload?
One sharp photo can be enough, though a second or third shot taken from another side helps the AI understand your pet's shape. Include at least one close-up where the face fills much of the frame and the eyes are clear and in focus.
