Designed like a classic print poster
This style treats your pet as the hero of a beautifully designed poster. The image is built from a small number of flat colours, usually three to five, arranged into crisp shapes with clean edges and no outlines. Light and shadow are shown as solid tonal steps, much like a screen print or a mid-century travel poster, and the background uses simple geometric forms: a large circle, a sunburst, an arch or a stripe of horizon.
Palette options
Choose a retro set of burnt orange, teal and cream, a Nordic palette of navy, ice blue and white, a warm terracotta and olive scheme, or a monochrome version in black and one accent colour.
Where it works best
Hallways, home offices, kitchens and children's rooms, and anywhere that already has framed prints or posters. It also looks smart in a row with other prints from the same palette.
Which pets and photos
Strong outlines read best: German shepherds, whippets, corgis, cats with pointed ears, upright-eared rabbits, cockerels and alpacas. A clear profile or a sitting pose against a simple background gives the cleanest shapes. Busy backgrounds and partial crops can make the design harder to read.
Lettering and printing
This is the style that suits large typography best. Choose a poster or modern sans font and place your pet's name boldly at the top or bottom, or overlaid on the background shape. Posters and framed prints both work well; matt paper suits the flat colour. For something punchier and more comic, try bright pop art, or browse every style.
The image is generated by AI; the lettering is set separately by our software. Create your poster.
About this style
Can I have my pet's name in large letters?
Yes. This style is designed around bold typography. You can place the name at the top, the bottom or over the background shape, in a poster or modern sans font. The type is laid over the finished image by our software, which keeps it crisp and correctly spelled.
How many colours are used?
Usually three to five flat colours, depending on the palette you choose. That limited range is what gives the style its clean, printed look. Your pet's markings are shown in the closest available colours, so subtle shading is simplified into a few solid tones.
Which photo gives the best poster result?
A photo with a clear outline, such as a side profile or a sitting pose against a plain wall or sky, gives the cleanest shapes. Try to include ears and tail if they are distinctive. Busy backgrounds and tight crops can make the design harder to read.
