Your pet among the peonies
Old Dutch and Flemish flower paintings are crowded with roses, tulips and trailing leaves glowing out of a dark ground. This style places your pet at the heart of one. The face sits in a clear oval of space, with blooms curving around the shoulders and spilling into the corners, all in a smooth oil-paint finish with tiny highlights on petals and dew.
Flowers and palette
The default arrangement mixes blush roses, white peonies and pale tulips on a deep olive background. You can switch to a spring bouquet of daffodils and blossom, an autumn mix of dahlias and berries, or a lighter cream ground for a softer, brighter piece.
Who it suits
It is a lovely choice for a birthday or Mother's Day present, and it works in bedrooms and living rooms where a darker portrait might feel heavy. Cats are a particularly good match, since their rounded faces sit beautifully inside the floral oval.
Pets and photos
Fluffy cats such as ragdolls, small dogs, and birds with soft plumage like cockatiels or lovebirds all look delicate here. A front-facing photo where the face is clear is ideal; the body is mostly hidden by flowers, so a close crop of the head works fine.
Text and printing
Script lettering for a name or short dedication suits the romance of the flowers, placed beneath the bouquet. Fine art prints in a pale wood frame show the petal detail at its best. If you would prefer your pet outdoors in real flowers, see our flower meadow scene.

About this style
Can I choose which flowers appear?
You can pick from four arrangements: blush roses and peonies, a spring mix of daffodils and blossom, autumn dahlias with berries, or a pale arrangement on a cream ground. Specific flower requests can be added in the notes, though AI interpretation means we cannot guarantee every bloom.
Will the flowers hide my pet's markings?
The flowers frame the head and shoulders, so chest or leg markings may be partly covered. Facial markings stay visible. If a body marking matters to you, mention it in the distinctive features box and choose a photo that shows it clearly near the face.
Is this style suitable for birds?
Very much so. Cockatiels, budgies and lovebirds look natural surrounded by blooms, and their feather colours often pair well with the arrangements. Use a sharp side or three-quarter photo that shows the cheek patches, crest and eye clearly.
